Practice Groups

For those new to club swimming, we offer a Stroke Clinic twice a year, once at the end of August and the other at the end of March. This clinic is for youth with Red Cross Level 4 skills and above who wish to competitive swimming in a low-key setting. Stroke Clinic participants will be coached by our Head Assistant Coach.

Armbruster Invitational May 8 2016All novice swimmers will be placed into either the Frost or Cubes developmental group. The emphasis in these groups is on developing good stroke technique and good practice habits. Swimmers in these groups are in the water 3-4 times per week.

Advancement into the competitive groups is at the discretion of the coaches. Waves and Morays spend time in the water refining technique and building strength and endurance. These athletes are in the water 4-6 times per week.

Focus is on specialty work, dryland training, and development for Regional / National level USA-S meets. These athletes sign a contract with the head coach each season which outlines commitment levels and goals for each season and are in the water 8-10 times per week.

Masters swimming is for anyone who wants to improve their swimming and fitness levels in an encouraging and motivating group atmosphere. Opportunities for competition are available, but not required. The Masters Swimming program is for persons 18 years of age and older who have Red Cross Level 5 skills.
